Xaloy receives Plastpol Innovation Award for Xaloy® X-900™ Extreme Wear Technology for Co-Rotating Segmented Twin Barrels

Second Time Xaloy® Innovation Awarded at the Event
A new laser cladding technology from Xaloy that provides extraordinary durability in high-wear or high-pressure applications in resin manufacturing and compounding has received an award for innovation at the 27th Plastpol Poland show in Kielce, Poland.
A jury panel selected Xaloy’s X-900™ extreme wear technology for the award in the ‘Plastics Processing Tools and Equipment’ category. The presentation occurred at an evening gala held during Plastpol 2023.

Xaloy® X-900™ is a revolutionary bimetallic liner for co-rotating segmented twin barrels that provides an impenetrable, seamless barrier through a patented technology whereby a tungsten-carbide/nickel compound is laser-welded directly to the inner surface of the barrel segment. It gives processors a cost-efficient and sustainable alternative to other wear-resistant alloys.
